Our first match will be an Intra Club match this Sunday 19 July - start at 2.00 p.m. Please arrive at the cricket club no earlier than 1.45 p.m. and use the bottom field to park cars suitably distanced from each other.
As a Club we need to make sure that everyone taking part in playing, those officiating and those watching, are aware of the increase in transmission risk associated with partaking in even socially distanced group activity and by coming to the Club on the day you are personally opting to participate in cricket activity and that you accept personal responsibility to follow the guidelines provided by the ECB which are outlined below and with full guidelines are attached on the website and have been emailed to members.
All participants (players, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators) should check for symptoms of COVID-19. In line with current UK Government Guidance, if an individual is symptomatic and/or living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection they should remain at home and follow UK Government guidance.
All Committee members are volunteers and to open the cricket club is a huge responsibility in these uncertain times and as a Club we would like to respectfully request all members to follow these guidelines so that we can all enjoy the match.
Government guidelines on social distancing should be maintained at all times
Park in bottom field, the Club car park will be used for spectators/social distanced seating
Players should arrive changed and ready to play.
Where possible players should limit sharing of equipment. If they do, they must practise strict hand hygiene before and after use and the equipment must be cleaned before use by another person.
In the case of rain breaks players must return to their cars
Players will be required to sanitise their hands after every 6 overs or 20 minutes whichever is shorter; the umpires should call “time” after every 6 overs or 20 minutes to facilitate this.
Players should sanitise their hands before and after play and at each interval. T
he Club will provide hand sanitiser outside on a table and there is a sanitiser inside by the toilets, however participants should bring their own hand sanitiser for use also.
No sweat or saliva may be added to the ball under any circumstances
Only one person in the pavilion/toilets at any time
The bar and pavilion will not be open, except for toilets, so bring your own food and drink for the day.
The Club is not providing waste bins so you will need to take all your rubbish home with you
Looking forward to seeing you all!
